Rent your own train!

the Nordic Railway-Club readily offers the Norwegian type 86-train set for your arrangements.
The train is equipped with a kitchen which can offer cold as well as hot dishes, which can be served whilst riding or during a break at a beautiful place, if the remainder of the train traffic allows it. The train holds 100 passengers, but it is only possible to serve 45 at a time in the dining car.

In principle we can go everywhere where there is tracks in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. You can participate in the planning of the trip or you can leave it all to us. You must only remember that our maximum speed is 80 km/t, so it is a bit slower than an ordinary train, but also far more pleasant.

You can also decide for yourself how much of the arrangement you want to be in charge of. Either you can arrange the whole excursion from timetable to nourishment, or you can leave it all to us, or choose something in between.

The Nordic Railway-Club is fully run by a voluntary and unpaid staff, but of course we have to finance the maintenance and the continuing improvements of the trainset, thus it is unfortunately somewhat more expensive to rent a train than to use a tourist bus. But then the train holds double as many passengers and has far greater freedom of movement during the trip. The exact cost of renting the train depends a lot on the destination and the contents of the arrangement.
